Rye Harbour Garage

James Doust, Laurie Band and George Manktelow at the village garage. James owned it then and later Laurie ran it into the 1980s.
Date of photo guessed.
The garage ceased trading before 2007 and is now the site of apartments.

Comments

I remember all these people very well. James' (Jim's) brother Jack was Harbour Master. Laurie could only see out of one eye, so he did have some depth perception problems. The garage was later taken over by Roger Capps (Lofty) and is now a block of flats.
