German Coaster

A German Coaster sank in the mouth of the Harbour in January 1975. It was 3 weeks before it could be moved and boats could come and go again. The boat also went aground at Winchelsea Beach while being towed to Newhaven

Comments

This is the M.V Thekla. She is now moored in Bristol Docks (since about 1984) and was a nightclub/bar and is now a theatre I believe.

I was there when she went aground they unloaded it there they had to extend the jib from another crane to reach it to unload her. I was interested to see it
