War Memorial 1

The memorial to local men who died in the Great War. It lies within the lych gate of Rye Harbour church.

I am the grand-daughter of Frederick Tillman who is on the memorial along with his three brothers, all of the brothers were all born in Rye and lived at Rye Harbour with their Uncle, Ned Cutting. Their father was John William Tillman the harbour master. All four brothers survived the wars, they all married, had families and lived in Hastings.
